If clothes smells unwashed or not as fresh as you would expect try the steps below to fix the issue:

• Perform regular maintenance washes - once a month.
• Make sure the detergent drawer is clean.
• Make sure not to add too much fabric conditioner.

It doesn't look like your clothes have washed properly. Try the following steps to improve general wash results.

• Select a more more intensive programme. (always check the care labels on the laundry first)
  

• The incorrect amount of detergent has been used. The amount of detergent you will use for your laundry is printed on the detergent package.

• Ensure the clothes are separated in the drum.

This is usually caused by oil, cream or other ointments, such as :

• Hand cremes and soaps.
• Other household cleaning products.

The garments have come out damaged or torn, please follow the steps below to try and fix this issue:

• Make sure you are not overloading the washer dryer.
• Check you are using the correct programme, especially for delicate items.

Certain fabrics should not be dried in a tumble dryer.

Please check the care label on the clothing to see if the item is suitable for drying in the tumble dryer.

If the wash/drying cycle that has been selected is too hot, the clothing can shrink.

Ensure the correct wash/drying cycle has been selected for the clothing you are drying and not too hot.

Does this fix the issue?

Clothing can get caught between the door seal and drum, which can create friction when the wash/drying cycle starts.

Check that the clothing is placed properly inside the drum.

Sharp edges within the drum can damage or tear clothing.

Remove all clothing from the drum and check for any sharp edges within the drum.

Using a wash/drying cycle that is too short for the clothing in the washer dryer will leave the clothing undry.

Ensure the correct wash/drying cycle has been selected for the clothing you are washing/drying.

Is the clothing now drying?

Too much clothing placed into the washer dryer won't move freely and allow sufficient drying.

Ensure the amount of clothing placed into the drum does not exceed to recommended load weight.
