Rotate the food

As food does not move around in an air fryer basket, this can cause some parts of the food to cook quicker than other parts.


To avoid this, using oven gloves carefully remove the basket, then using tongs or a non-metal spoon move the food around. Place the basket back into the cooking chamber.

Having to much food in the basket, the hot air cannot circulate properly and can undercook or cook food unevenly.


Ensure the basket is not overloaded.

When cooking frozen food, moisture can form and the food can cook unevenly.


Ensure the food is fully defrosted before cooking it.


For food that can be cooked from frozen, please refer to the cooking instructions on the packaging.

The food will burn in the air fryer if the cooking temperature is set too high.


Ensure the cooking temperature is set to the correct setting.

Cooking time set too long

The food will burn in the air fryer if the cooking time is set too long.


Ensure the cooking time is set to the recommended setting.


Always remove the food immediately after the cooking time has finished.

If there is insufficient ventilation or the vents are blocked on the air fryer, this can have the same effect as overfilling the basket. The air fryer could also malfunction.
