Positioning of the microwave
If the microwave is installed resting against a wall or an enclosed area, the microwave can become noisy.



Please check your microwave manual for the recommended clearance requirements.

Does the microwave have a rotating turntable?


Turntable assembled correctly?

If the turntable is not correctly mounted on the turntable rollers, the turntable will not rotate properly, which can cause a rumbling noise when it is rotating.



Check that the turntable is mounted correctly on the turntable rollers

Please check your microwave manual for the assembly procedure.

Clean the turntable rollers
If food or debris builds up around the turntable rollers, the turntable will not rotate properly which can cause a noise when in use.



Check that the turntable rollers are clean and free from food or debris.

Unplug the microwave from the mains, then call Tech Support.

Open the door and check that there is no foil or metal objects inside the microwave.

Container or dish microwave safe?
When heating food in a microwave only use containers or dishes which are microwave safe.



Please check your microwave manual for materials which are suitable for use in the microwave.

Is the wave guide cover clean or damaged?
The wave guide cover is a metallic sheet that allows energy waves from the magnetron through to heat your food.



An unclean wave guide cover can affect the performance of the microwave.

Is the wave guide cover dirty or is it damaged?
Call Tech Support
Turn the microwave off at the mains and call Tech Support.
Clean the wave guide cover
Unplug the microwave from the mains.

Clean the wave guide cover with a soft damp cloth.



Please check your microwave manual for the location of the wave guide cover.

Are sparks or flashing visible now when using the microwave?
Check for foil or metal objects
Switch the microwave off at the mains.

Open the door and check that there is no foil or metal objects inside the microwave.



Clean the burn marks off by sprinkling baking soda inside, on the surfaces of the microwave, then wipe the inside walls with a soft damp cloth.

Have any more burn marks appeared?
Food debris left in the microwave
Leaving food debris in the microwave can lead to burn marks on the microwave's wall.



Clean the inside of the microwave after every usage,by sprinkling baking soda inside, on the surfaces of the microwave, then wipe the inside walls with a soft damp cloth.

Has the microwave been used when it's empty?
Using the microwave when it's empty can result in burn marks on the microwave's wall.



Doing this can also damage the microwave.

Is the mains power connected?
Check that the microwave is plugged in and turned on at the mains.

Press the start button or turn the timer control.
Press the Start button or turn the timer control to start the programme / heating time.

Check that there are no obstructions which stop the door from being fully closed.



Fully close the door.

Does another device power on?
To cross test the power supply try another electrical appliance on the same mains socket.



Does the other appliance power on?
Change the fuse
Try changing the fuse on the plug. Always use a new fuse with the same Amp rating as the fuse being removed.



Has the microwave now started?
Tripped switches on fuse box?
Check to see if any RCD breakers have been tripped inside your Fusebox.



Have any switches been tripped?
Switch fuse to ON position
Switch the tripped fuse back on.



Does it stay in the ON position?
Has the microwave now started?

Obstruction stopping the door from closing
Check that there is nothing inside the microwave preventing the door from being fully closed.



Can you fully shut the door now?
Microwave installed on level surface?
Ensure the microwave is placed on a flat and level surface.

Check the door seal and door opening for food or debris.
