Check that the steam mop is plugged in and turned on at the mains.
Do you have power?
To cross test the power supply try another electrical appliance on the same mains socket.
Does the other appliance power on?
Try changing the fuse on the plug. Always use a new fuse with the same Amp rating as the fuse being removed.
Do you have power?
Check to see if any RCD breakers have been tripped inside your Fusebox.
Have any switches been tripped?
Switch the tripped fuse back on.
Does it stay in the ON position?
Check that the steam mop is plugged in and turned on at the mains.
Is the steam mop plugged in and turned on at the mains?
Plug the steam mop in and turn on at the mains.
Does this fix the issue?
If the water tank is empty, the steam mop will not produce steam.
Is the water tank empty?
Turn the steam mop off and unplug from the mains
Fill the water tank with clean water between the minimum and maximum level.

Does this fix the issue?
If the heat setting is too low, the steam mop will not heat up and produce steam.
Is the heat setting too low?
Turn the steam control dial to a higher heat setting E.g., MAX.
Does this fix the issue?
On some models of steam mop there may be a safety lock to prevent accidently releasing steam.
Please check your steam mop manual for this function.
Is the safety lock activated?
Deactivate the safety lock on the steam mop

Does this fix the issue?
Steam mops typically need a period of time to heat before producing steam.
Please check your steam mop manual for the heating time.
Did the steam mop heat up after the expected time suggested in the manual?
Over time the steam mops nozzle steam release channels can have mineral buildup, which can prevent steam from escaping.
Is there a build up of minerals on the steam release channels?
Turn the steam mop off and unplug from the mains.
Carefully remove the blockages using a small brush or pin.

If this does not solve the problem, please try the troubleshooter again for further help.
If there is a mineral build up inside the steam nozzle, the steam mop will struggle to produce steam.
Turn the steam mop off and unplug from the mains.
Empty, then remove the water tank.
Please check your steam mop manual for this procedure.
Is there a mineral build up inside the steam nozzle?
Insert the tip of the cleaning pin into the opening of the steam nozzle and remove the mineral build-up.
Replace the water tank, then fill to the max level with water.
If this does not solve the problem, please try the troubleshooter again for further help.
If the water tank has a buildup of scale, the steam mop will not produce steam properly.
Turn the steam mop off and unplug the from the mains.
- Fill the water tank with equal part white vinegar and water.
- Plug the steam mop into the mains and turn the setting to max.
- Place the steam mop's head onto the floor and let it steam for a couple minutes.
- Turn off the steam mop and leave for an hour. Unplug from the mains.
- Empty the water tank, rinse out with clean water, then refill with water to the maximum level.
- Plug the steam mop back into the main and turn the setting to max.
Does the steam mop now produce heat up and produce steam?
