Has the correct drying cycle been selected?

Using a drying cycle which is too hot can cause clothing to shrink.


Ensure the correct drying cycle has been selected for the clothing you are drying and not too hot.


Please check your tumble dryer manual time guide.

Is clothing being trapped?

Clothing can get caught between the door seal and drum, which can create friction when the drying cycle starts.


Check that the clothing is placed properly inside the drum.

Sharp edges within the drum

Sharp edges within the drum can damage or tear clothing.


Remove all clothing from the drum and check for any sharp edges within the drum.


Did you find any sharp edges?

Has the lint filter been incorrectly fitted?

If the lint filter is not fitted correctly, clothing can be damaged or torn.


Check that the lint filter is correctly fitted.

Is the clothing put in the tumble dryer too wet?

Clothing that has not been sufficiently spun in the washing machine will not properly dry in the tumble dryer.


Ensure the clothing is sufficiently spun in the washing machine before being placed into the tumble dryer.


Is the clothing now drying?

Has the correct drying cycle selected?

Using a drying cycle that is too short for the clothing in the tumble dryer will leave the clothing undry.


Ensure the correct drying cycle has been selected for the clothing you are drying.

Is the load too large?

Too much clothing placed into the tumble dryer won't move freely and allow sufficient drying.


Ensure the amount of clothing placed into the drum does not exceed to recommended load weight.

Condenser blocked?

The condenser prevents fibres which are released from clothing in the tumble dryer from blocking the condenser.


A blocked condenser can effect the drying of the clothing.


Remove and check the condenser for blockages.

Is the clothing now drying?

Water tank full?

If the water tank is full, this can prevent the drying of the clothing.


Check and empty the water tank.

Base filter blocked?

The base filter prevents fibres which are released from clothing in the tumble dryer from blocking the condenser.


A blocked base filter can effect the drying of the clothing.


Remove and check the base filter for blockages.

Lint filter blocked?

When the lint filter is blocked with fluff, this restricts air flow and can effect the drying of the clothing.


Remove the lint filter and remove any build up of fluff.

Is the clothing suitable to be dried in the tumble dryer?

Certain fabrics should not be dried in a tumble dryer.


Please check the care label on the clothing to see if the item is suitable for drying in the tumble dryer.

If the drying cycle that has been selected is too hot, the clothing can shrink.
