Is the TV plugged into the mains?


Plug the TV into the mains
Plug the TV into the mains, the extension lead may not be providing sufficient power.



Do you have power?
Perform a power cycle.

Perform a power cycle on the TV using the following steps.

  1. Unplug the TV from the mains socket.
  2. Hold down the manual power button on the TV for 10 seconds (if unsure on location, refer to the user manual).
  3. Plug the TV back in and turn on.


Did this resolve the issue?


Try another appliance
Try another electrical appliance to cross test the power supply to the TV, try another electrical appliance in the same socket.

Did the other appliance power on OK?
Check The fuse box
Check the fuse box.



Have any switches been tripped?
Possible electrical fault
This problem could be caused by a faulty mains socket. Please contact a qualified electrician to test or change the plug socket.

You may have multiple remote controls for the devices connected to your TV, double check you are not using the one for the set top box or DVD player.

Do you have a Bluetooth or IR remote control?


To help resolve this issue, we need to know what type of remote control you are having issues with.
Carry out an IR test
Carry out an IR test on the remote control.

This should be using a digital camera without an IR filter, most commonly a front facing (Selfie) camera on a smartphone.



Does the IR transmitter LED flash when the buttons are pressed?
Pair the Bluetooth remote control
Try pairing the Bluetooth remote control.

Refer to the user manual for exact instructions on how to pair your remote control.
