If the thermostat is set too low, the compressor will not turn on and cool the fridge / freezer.

Please check your fridge freezer manual for the recommended thermostat setting.

Is the thermostat set to the recommended setting?

Set the thermostat to the recommended setting.

Does this fix the issue?

Check that the fridge freezer is plugged in and turned on at the mains.

Do you have power?

To cross test the power supply try another electrical appliance on the same mains socket.

Does the other appliance power on?

Try changing the fuse on the plug. Always use a new fuse with the same Amp rating as the fuse being removed.

Do you have power?

Check to see if any RCD breakers have been tripped inside your Fusebox.

Have any switches been tripped?

Switch the tripped fuse back on.

Does it stay in the ON position?

Apart from the light, is the fridge freezer functioning properly?

On some models of fridge freezers, the light becomes disabled if the door has been left open for a long period of time. Try closing the door, then reopen it to activate the light.

Does the light work?

Check that the light switch is not stuck in the off position.

Test by pressing it in with your finger.

Does the light work?

Is the light an LED?

Because the light is an LED, it will need to be repaired by a qualified engineer.

Some bulbs can be replaced.
